Final Fantasy en comédie musicale avec des marionnettes. C’est la vidéo du jour.

Final Fantasy a fêté cette année ses 25 ans. Des fans en ont donc profité pour célébrer la franchise avec une vidéo totalement inédite. Ils ont composé une comédie musicale, plus exactement un titre, qu’ils ont fait chanter, sur une vidéo, par des marionnettes, en reprenant l’air de Cornelia Castle, titre musical utilisé dans Final Fantasy I. Qui ont-ils choisi comme interprètes parmi les personnages de la saga ? Trois des mages que l’on retrouve tout au long des différents opus, à savoir le Mage Rouge, le Mage Blanc et le Mage Noir.

Que peuvent-ils bien chanter ? Ces personnages récurrents de Final Fantasy racontent leur vision de leur rôle de mage. Le Mage Rouge, malgré tous ses pouvoirs, se sent totalement inutile, comme « un rond dans un carré » et aspire à devenir un véritable héros. Le Mage Blanc, en fait une « magette blanche », est le seul de sexe féminin. Avec tous ses pouvoirs, elle souligne que sans elle on ne peut pas s’en sortir, qu’il ne faut pas se fier aux apparences : elle est n’est pas du tout frêle. Le Mage Noir se décrit comme le maître des éléments. Mais comme les autres, il est victime des préjugés et des apparences, à la recherche d’amis. Etre un mage, c’est pas si cool que ça en fait.

Maybe I don’t have the strength to wield
An elven sword or a mythril shield
But my heart is strong, and my wand is too
So try to keep in mind, that without me you’d be so screwed

I’m the black mage, but I betcha knew that
Yellow eyes, my disguise, do you like my pointy hat?
I’m a master of the elements, but all that is irrelevant
I step into a room and I’m invariably the elephant

Not just a pyro, I’m also pretty smart
And the fire in my hands comes directly from my heart

When push comes to shove, I want friends, I want love
I want a bride-to-be, family, all of the above
And I’ll be damned if I fail, ’cause wouldn’t that be tragic
If I let you judge me by the color of my magic?
